A late 17th century English silver-mounted Huntsman's Horn, the end mounts engraved: 'Floreat virtute Cornu 1696' and 'Cornu de Cornwell', the central band engraved with an armorial - argent, a fess sable between three posthorns sable below the motto 'Cornu Saluti' - and with a Royal crown upon a pedestal below the motto 'Floreat Cornu Corone'. \nCornwell is a village near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. Good with minor bruising and shrinkage. One silver lug with an old repair.
