A 17th century silver-gilt Toy Charger, London 1684, George Manjoy. \nNo registers survive for this period at the Goldsmiths' Company but it seems certain that this mark can be attributed to George Manjoy. \n \nAn interesting advertisement in the London Gazette (London, England), of February 6, 1720 [Issue 5823] reads: 'Stopt by George Manjoy, Goldsmith, in the Dog-Row, Whitechapel, a Gold Watch; the Owner describing the same, and paying the Charges, may have it again.' Condition: \n
