A George I silver Sealing Wax Case.

A silver Sealing Wax-case and Seal, maker’s mark only, probably for David Tanqueray, London, circa 1715. The seal matrix with the arms of Finch with a mullet for difference, probably for a son of Heneage Finch, died 1719, 1st Earl of Aylesford. The end of the case also engraved ‘M.F. given her by E.F. 1761.’ The case is opened by unscrewing the top section. Condition: \n
