A George I toy silver Cruet.

A George I silver Cruet Frame, circa 1725, containing three casters [two small, one large], and two glass bottles for oil and vinegar with pull-off silver caps. Marked with maker's mark and lion passant, by David Clayton. Engraved underneath with a 19th century inventory number '136'. \nVery few of these fragile cruets survive. For a nearly identical cruet see the Victoria and Albert Museum Collection, M.254-1976. Condition: \n

There is a repair to the frame, as photographed, at the top of one leg. The two glass bottles are of different heights but appear to be original to the piece.
