A George III silver Dining Club Badge.

A dining club Badge in the form of a miniature griddle, engraved with contemporary initials and the motto ‘Donum Amicitiae et Gloria Solomonis.’ Circa 1800. The griddle, or gridiron, was the badge of the Sublime Society of Beefsteaks but was adopted by a number of other dining clubs. Condition: \n
