A good George III silver Wine Goblet.

A George III bright-cut and panelled Goblet, London 1794, by William Fountain. The engraving on the panels has a central cartouche and, on each alternate panel, the rosette has script owner's initals 'JH' beneath a baron's coronet. \nWilliam Fountain, an apprentice of Daniel Smith, had been in partnership with Daniel Pontifex but entered a mark on his own on the 1st September 1794 - this goblet was therefore made between that date and May of the following year. Condition: \n

Good. Some wear to the interior gilding on the lower part of the bowl.
