A large George III rococo revival shaped cube Tea Caddy, London 1818/19, by William Burwash. The lid pull-off with cast flower finial, the front of the body engraved with a contemporary owner's crest and motto, the interior of the caddy richly gilt. \n \nFor Burwash's business at 14 Bartholomew Close and its succession from John Carter, through Richard Carter, Smith and Sharpe, Ellerton and Sibley, to Burwash and Sibley, and thence to William Burwash, died 1821, and his son.
