An 18th century English brass or 'French plate' Sauceboat, circa 1750, struck in the interior with a pseudo lion passant three times. The remains of an armorial with coronet above on the side. An identical sauceboat, the pair to this example, was sold by Belinda Gentle and is illustrated in her archive. Condition: \n
Good overall but with some surface erosion, worn armorial, only vestiges of silver and a tiny crack on seam of body nead the handle.
