A rare pair of George I Toy silver Candle Snuffers, struck twice with a maker's mark only for David Clayton, London circa 1725. \nAn almost identical pair of snuffers (6.40 cm. long) is in the Metropolitan Museum, New York [The Joseph M. and Aimee Loeb May Collection, 1963, Accession Number: 63.53.205. These were formerly exhibited in New York. James Robinson, Inc. "A loan exhibition of antique English silver miniatures," April 22, 1941–May 22, 1941].
