Lowe 1852.' \nRichard Thomas Lowe, 1802-1874, is best known for his writings on the flora and fauna of Madeira, where he was chaplain from 1833.His association with the 'High Church' Oxford movement led to Lord Palmerston's demands that he should resign in 1847. Reasonably good but showing signs of use - some wear to the gilding on the back of the bowl and some small knocks and scratches.
